Aquaria KLCC has an amazing display of fish, from sand tiger sharks to blue rays and giant arapaimas togar fish. Some of the highlights of the aquarium includes a 90 meter long underwater tunnel, the 10 foot long gigantic Arapamia, and an Aqua Theater. There are also reptiles such as snakes and lizards on display along with a wide variety of insects. At the entrance there is a special section for visitors to pick up and feel the texture of live corals and star fish.

Located inside Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre which is a 10 minutes walk from the Petronas Twin Towers, it is accessible through the underground interlink from Tower Records in Suria KLCC. To KL Aquaria we walked through an air-conditioned pedestrian walkway at the Centre Court of Suria KLCC to the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. It is delightful walk on this walkway with such experience we experience and feeling we could not easily find back home. The amazing Cownose rays measuring up to 150cm in wingspan. Else where we can only watch them on television. There are three shallow pools with swimming creatures where you can touch and catch with your hands. The tunnel underneath the shark-tank (photos below) was impressive. On this travelator, big sharks, sting rays and other rather large fish swooped overhead or just lazily floated past. Before the main hall is the section called the Jewels of the Jungle with amazing variety of animals found in the tropical region. Green snakes, Malayan Horned toads, tarantulas etc.   The main hall contained three main aquariums and a couple of smaller ones. The first aquarium is a large 20 over feet tall cylindrical aquarium. Inside were variety of fishes. Right below is aquarium with similar fishes and houses a few gigantic tortoises bigger then a person. Slow moving and peaceful, the tortoises do not move much and prefer to stay underwater. Opposite this pool is the fresh water aquarium which contained freshwater fishes. The main attraction is the Giant Arapaimas – the largest fresh water fish in the world. The main attraction is The Tunnel Undersea Walkway (Underwater Tunnel). This brighter area is where visitor non stop clicking their camera
